Punganoor Lake

The Punganoor Lake is the main attraction in Yelagiri. It is a manmade lake with a pretty garden surrounding it. The boat club here offers pedal and motor boat rides. There is a children's park and a mini-zoo next door. One can take a short walk along the lake side and also enjoy a boat ride.

Swamimalai Hill (Trekking)

Swamimalai Hill is the highest point in Yelagiri. Whether you are a chair bound executive or a regular trekker you can look forward to an excellent trekking experience. It is an easy climb of about an hour with infrequent breaks (about a 1000 foot climb).

Velavan Temple

There are innumerable temples dedicated to Lord Murugan, but what makes this temple so special? Actually you get a very good view of the Yelagiri valley from this place. There is giant statue of Gadothgajan the son of Bheeman and Idumbi placed in front of the temple.

Jalagamparai Waterfalls

Jalagamparai waterfalls stay to be in the valley region downhill and are at little distance away from the Yeligiri. It's a beautiful place to be there and the experience is worth remembering. Waterfall's view is best in the days of November to February as they are fully loaded with water.

Paragliding

Yelagiri Hills has emerged as the Paragliding hotspot in India. Yelagiri Paragliding Club (YPC), set up for promoting the sport would conduct the first international paragliding festival in South India at the Yelagiri Hills. There are many attractions for tourists & latest addition is paragliding.
